Diverse in ethnicity, gender and age, Atlanta’s Burn Unit breakdance crew has a distinct style of dancing with raw, edgy movements reminiscent of house dancing, Capoeira, gymnastics, Cirque du Soleil and animalistic influences. Unusual in the breakdance community, Burn Unit includes both men (b-boys) and women (b-girls) as well as adults and children (ages range from 40+ to 10). Burn Unit crew is well rounded in the breakdance genre with true dancers playing off both the beats and lyrics in the music as well as the ability to perform more flashy, crowd-favorite moves such as flips, flares, windmills and headspins.
